Eco Kolek Shares its Milestones during San Vicente's Resource Management Forum

Updated: Aug 15

We are grateful for the opportunity to be invited by the San Vicente LGU, as one of the resource speakers during their Resource Management Forum cum Launching of their Second Cluster Marine Protected Areas.

She Roa of Project Zacch shared with the local community leaders of San Vicente, Palawan what we have been doing in Eco Kolek — the learnings we’ve got both from the expertise of our Eco Warriors and capacity assistance provided by USAID CCBO regarding waste classification and promotion of 3Rs/SWM, national and local SWM regulations, and of course, the narrative stories of our Eco Warriors.

It was a great moment to discuss and explore collaborative partnerships with locals and grassroot leaders, to listen to their societal pains when it comes to coastal and marine management, MPAs, SWM, and food security (we also shared our Farm Konek), among others, and then co-create innovative solutions to address them.

Congratulations, San Vicente LGU, especially to the Municipal Agriculture Office!
